The newest quotes coined for modern book lovers

Are you looking for new, refreshingly different quotes that are relevant to our modern world? Then explore these quotes curated by the Gotitles review team.

There is only one thing that can replace a book: the next book.

Reading a book is like sitting in an autonomous car driving into an unknown paradise.

You can always read a book tomorrow, but make sure you will have started yesterday.

A day without a book is like a latte without coffee.

Choosing between print books and ebooks is like choosing between first and second sip of a coffee.

Think of your future as a list of books you want to read.

Books are your own stories served from another mind.

You can read one chapter and take a rest, or you can read one chapter and read the rest.

You either borrow books or money.

Reading is like installing a new operating system inside your brain without the need to make a backup.

Life is like a novel, with you being both its author and main character.

If you want to focus, start reading a book. If it’s a good book, you won’t be able to focus on anything else.

There are two kinds of books: read and missed opportunities.

The Fan Favorites Based on Real Life Events

Before they were major blockbuster movies adored by millions, they were books. Before they were books, which themselves sold millions of copies worldwide, they were true life stories. Here are two of those stories that made it from life to book to movie, becoming two of the world;s favorites in the process.

Room By Emma Donoghue. Donoghue’s compelling 2010 novel Room brings us the heartbreaking story of a mother and young son held captive in a small room. The book was written from the boy’s perspective, and later turned into a major motion picture in 2015 starring Brie Larson and a very young Jacob Tremblay. Horrific as it may be to think of, the novel was actually based on the real life story of Elizabeth Fritzl, who had been held captive by her father for 24 years and had given birth to 7 children in that time.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. John Green’s 2012 novel The Fault in Our Stars tells the tragic tale of a chance encounter between a 16 year old girl with thyroid cancer and a 17 year old ex-basketball player and amputee. The book was adapted into a major motion picture of the same name in 2014, which starred Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. The book was based on the true story of Esther Earl, who Green met at a Harry Potter conference, who had released her own book posthumously.

Now Is The Time to Re-Binge All Your Favorite Shows!

There’s been a lot of good news about vaccines, recently, and with it the hope that life may soon return to normal! The truth, however, is that distribution logistics mean we may be waiting at least a little bit longer. In the meantime, since we’re all staying indoors anyway, there’s no time like the present to re-binge all of your favorite shows! The team here at Gotitles picked a few of our favorites for you:

The Sopranos. An obvious first choice, The Sopranos tops many lists for greatest show of all time! The Sopranos solidified the potential to tell a story through an anti-hero, and captivated our attention for six gripping seasons.

Breaking Bad. Honorable mention to Breaking Bad’s spinoff, Better Call Saul, which is itself gripping television but has also made fans nostalgic for what is often considered one of the best dramas of all time. The show lasted for five epic seasons, then rounded them out with a movie, El Camino, that you can watch to cap your glorious binge!

Battlestar Galactica. An old one, we’ll admit, but a good one nonetheless, and one of the few shows to prove that a reboot can be better than the original. Battlestar Galactica continues to enjoy a cult following to this very day, and although they’re highly doubtful, rumors continue to swirl regarding a Battlestar Galactica movie. It all goes to prove that even fifteen years later the show remains nothing short of epic and is well worth binging again!
